Janice Brewer, Education Coordiantor/Principal
Mrs. Janice Brewer is the principal here at Ault Academy. She received her Bachelor of Science & Human Development from LaGrange College in 2008. In 2009 she earned her Masters in Arts and Teaching, Middle Grades Science & Language Arts. In 2012 she attended Columbus University where she received Educational Specialist and Educational Leadership. Janice plans to complete her Doctorate of Education in Leadership Adminstration in 2016. Mrs. Janice also received Teacher of the Month for four consecutive years 2008-2011. Mrs. Janice was also awarded Teacher of the Year in 2011, the Classroom management Award and was named the Lead Teacher. Kristopher Chesterman, History
Kristopher Chesterman, or Kris as he is known by the students is the History / Social Studies teacher at Ault Academy. He earned his BA in history and MAT from Piedmont College in 2007 and 2009, respectively. Student teaching at a private therapeutic boarding school and working as a house parent for a group home in Tucson, Arizona has helped him prepare for what he does at Ault. Mr. Kris aims to help students reach their full potential through building reading, writing, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Deborah Smith, Math
Deborah Smith received my Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with a Minor in Physics in 1987 from Southern Illinois University. She received her Masters in the Art of Teaching - Mathematics in 2008 from Georgia College and State University. She is in her 11th year of teaching having taught 3 years in Bibb County, 1 year in Sumter County, 4 years in Dougherty County and I am in my 3rd year here. Melanie Traylor, Special Education
Melanie Traylor teaches Exceptional Education. This is her 5th year at Ault Academy. She has over 37 years of teaching experience. She has taught all grades from K-12. All of her years of teaching experience have been in Exceptional Education. She is a member of Theta Xi Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority in LaGrange, GA, where she is the president. Mary Alice Banks, Media Specialist/Secretary
Mary A. Banks serves Ault Academy as media specialist and
secretary. She is a 1971 graduate of Alabama A & M University
with a major in in English and a minor in Library Media Services.
She received her Masters in Education with a concentration in Library Media Services in 1975 from Alabama State University.

Judy Jones, Middle Grades
Judy Jones is the Middle School Teacher here at Ault Academy. She has been teaching since 1978. She retired from Troup County School System with 30 years of service. She taught part time for a few years, including two at Ault Academy, and has been teaching full time here for the past two years. She love teaching. She graduated from LaGrange College with a double major of Elementary Education and Health & Physical Education. She earned her master's degree from the University of West Georgia. Aruna Sunderraj, Science
My name is Aruna Sunderraj. This is my tenth year as a full time science teacher. I have done my Masters in Botany, specialization in Microbiology. My passion is teaching, inspiring and challenging students to love learning. I love what I am doing here at Ault- teaching and changing lives one student at a time. Instruction is individualized using differentiation strategies. I strive to bring something new to students all the time. Mary Phillips, English
